Summer Fun

Well many of you might be wondering what we have been up to since we got engaged. After Nathan asked me to marry him we went to see my sister in Issaquah in hopes that she would have her baby. Of course that didn't happen but Nathan finally got to meet my entire family so it was worth it. Nathan and I headed back to Ellensburg . I went to work at 9:30am on the morning of July 23rd and the next thing I knew my mom was telling me that Maria's water broke. I was super excited and my boss was kind enough to let me off work early so that we could be there just minuets after little Davis Peter Nelson was born.

After all the excitement it was back to work as usual. I worked the next day in Ellensburg and then was sent to Omak, WA that Thursday. Nathan was still in town but that is the nature of my job you never know where you are going to be from day to day. I had a pretty productive summer. As most of you know I am a wildland firefighter for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources Helitack crew. I was pretty busy this summer even though there weren't many large fires in our state. I worked from June 16 to September 29. I spent 54 days in Omak, WA 3 days near Coulee Dam, and 3 days in The Dalles , 23 days working on 12 fires, and I had 370.5 hrs of OT. I am currently layedoff and spending all of my free time working on wedding plans

Nathan on the other hand left on July 28th to go back to Oklahoma, so he could pack up all his junk. He PCS'ed from Ft. Sill Oklahoma to Ft. Hood Texas. He found an apartment and was assigned to be the Fire Support Officer for B Troop, 1-7 CAV, 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. He was assigned to a Bradly Fighting vehicle and Fire support team consisting of a Seargent a Specialist and a Private. He has been very busy training out in the field. He is training to be the Intelligence officer. They are scheduled to deploy in February and are currently in California at Ft. Irwin at the National Training Center. They are supposed to return from California at the end of October.

Dresses

Well I thought that some of you might want to see what my dress, the bridesmaid dresses, and the flower girl dresses are going to look like. Now keep in mind that I am making slight changes to my dress and I probably wont look as good as this girl but its the basic gist of what my dress is going to look like.

Okay so I have to admit that this was not my first choice for the flower girls. I found the perfect dress. Or I thought it was the perfect dress but in all reality it wasn't practical for both girls. So my sister helped me find this dress and I might have resisted at first but now I love it and I think it will be even better than the first one.

I am so excited to see how everyone looks in their dresses.
